A week into Labour’s second year and its interest in creative agencies doesn’t seem to be waning. Nor are the likes of Tony Blair, Chris Smith and Mark Fisher likely to drop their personal commitment.

But, while we can look to the Government to change some things, notably the way it buys and manages design, we can’t expect it to champion design if we in the industry don’t help it. If we did more to promote good practice, the politicians might be more generous with their support.
