Lillywhites warms up for revamp
London sports emporium Lillywhites is planning a total refurbishment which is likely to kick off at the end of this year.
The 3160m2 Piccadilly store was last refurbished six years ago, after a three-year, 10m redesign by Davies Baron, which also updated the identity (DW 25 September 1992).
RPA, which has worked with Lillywhites’ Portuguese owner, was invited to submit a quote for the project, which was put on hold, according to a Lillywhites spokeswoman. She would not comment on why this was.
This time round “we will put it out to tender,” she says. Store brand director Peter Hird declines to comment.
