Pentagram revamps University of Surrey identity

Pentagram has conducted a complete identity revamp for the University of Surrey to bring its organisations together under one consistent brand.

The group has been reviewing the university’s operation and developing a mission statement for around 18 months. The resulting identity will be unveiled on 29 May and rolled out across the operation over the next 18 months.

It will be implemented on signage, livery, literature, stationery and uniforms. The academic schools will be differentiated through a colour coding system.

The logo itself remains under wraps until the launch date.

“It is intended to be leading edge, contemporary and scientifically oriented and to appeal to both students and business people. This is a similar target audience since we look for students who are vocationally oriented,” says a University spokesman.
