Links deliver design to 1500

The Government has released statistics showing the 31 design counsellors in the Business Links network have provided design information and advice to more than 1500 companies.

The design counsellors’ contributions have helped the Government’s business advice network reach more than 100 000 companies in one quarter for the first time.

During the three-month period from April to June this year, the design counsellors provided advice to 1560 businesses. The counsellors visited 821 companies and 488 businesses attended design awareness seminars.

The Department of Trade and Industry is to commission a study evaluating the effects Business Links are having on the growth and profitability of client companies. The work will be carried out next year.
