Why do small groups never get a mention?
Far removed from the inflated fees and egos in London, a design consultancy “out-of-town” pours over the current copy of Design Week to see what’s at the “cutting edge” of design. But alas, what do we find – the new Oxford Playhouse logo (DW 25 October).
Had this logo (and other work in this edition) been produced by anyone other than Wolff Olins, would DW have even given it a second glance, let alone a column inch?
Surely space should be given on merit, not on name and reputation.
