Cox Design has developed the identity and graphics for the new Pan Asia Café and Bar in Manchester, which opens at the end of October. The venture aims to capture the city’s student and young professional market.

Manchester architectural group Provin & Makin has also been involved in designing the venue, which is being launched by the team behind Manchester’s Little Yang Sing, a Chinese restaurant.

Cox Design creative director Kevin Cox says: “It’s more fashionable and youth-oriented – for a younger and trendier market. The identity has been applied in various guises across exterior and interior signage plus menus, stationery, invitations and promotional packs.”

Pan Asia Café and Bar general manager Leo Tse adds: “Features will include an open kitchen and there will Japanese gizmos on sale. I’ve seen the format work in London and hopefully it can work in Manchester too.”
