The World Bank has launched the identity of its Global Road Safety Partnership in Geneva.

The World Bank has launched the identity of its Global Road Safety Partnership in Geneva.

The identity, by UK group Design Distillery, “contains familiar symbols of road users to convey the message that road accidents affect everyone”, says consultancy managing director Leslie Millard.

Three quarters of road deaths currently occur in the developing world, with 1.5m children injured and 163 000 killed every year.

“Road safety is an issue of immense human proportions, it’s an issue of economic proportions. It’s an issue of social proportions and it’s an issue of equity,” says World Bank Group president James D Wolfensohn.
