Skins

Skins is a digital hand-drum designed by Digital Cow. It was recently awarded Millennium Product status.

Digital Cow is a partnership between Ben Smith, a recent graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, and David Bernard of Sound Surgery. With Smith’s design talent and the electronic expertise of Bernard, the drum combines velocity-sensitive pads, rubber nipples and sequencing buttons to create a wide range of rhythmic soundscapes. The pair perform using the drums, appearing as Hardware Department at gigs across Glasgow. The product is currently looking for a company to license the electronic drum.
