Simplified remotes being pointed in wrong direction

Sorry, but am I missing something? Video Network’s ‘minimote’ (pictured above) for children looks well designed and is a great idea (DW 16 September). But should the focus not be towards a simplified remote control for adults?

Sorry, but am I missing something? Video Network’s ‘minimote’ (pictured above) for children looks well designed and is a great idea (DW 16 September). But should the focus not be towards a simplified remote control for adults?

In my experience, if I can’t work a piece of technology, I know I can rely on anyone in the vicinity who is under ten years old to show me how to work it; not the other way around.
