Kemistry brands sports channels for Indian TV group Neo

Kemistry is working on a new brand and on-screen identity for Indian sports channel Neo Sports, having created the branding for sister channel Neo Cricket.

Kemistry won a four-way creative pitch in July. The new identities will change fonts, graphics, colours, audio and idents and feature a new logo.

Omar Honigh, managing director of Kemistry, says it was briefed to make the channels ’two different entities’. He says, ’Neo Sports is very international, whereas Neo Cricket is very Indian.’

Prasana Krishnan, chief executive of Neo Sports Broadcast, says Neo Cricket’s new look ’epitomises the passion India holds for cricket’.

The identity for Neo Cricket launched last Friday, and the work for Neo Sports – which shows golf, football, motor sports and tennis – will air at the end of the end of the month.
