Ron Cregan leaves Navyblue to take AIG and Construct roles

Ron Cregan has left his position as strategy director at Navyblue to take up strategic director positions at consultancies Applied Information Group and Construct.
Cregan (pictured) will obtain an undisclosed equity in both companies, and will split his time equally between the two.

’I’ve been looking for the next opportunity and couldn’t really add any more value at Navyblue, which I joined to meet a specific challenge,’ says Cregan, who points out he isn’t a founding shareholder at Navyblue.

Cregan, who trained as a product designer before moving into business strategy, says of his new employers, ’They’re both very different businesses.’

At AIG Cregan will prioritise looking for business in North America, the Middle East and Asia before turning to Europe and the UK, where the consultancy has won most of its work.

’It’s a great opportunity for AIG, which is a global specialist in wayfinding strategies,’ says Cregan.

Georgia Fendley, who is managing director of Construct and brand director of fashion brand Mulberry, says Cregan will look to ’find the right kinds of new business’ at Construct, which she says ’is lucky enough’ to choose who it works with.

Fendley says, ’We are at risk of becoming pigeonholed, so Ron will be looking for work on our wish list and responding to enquiries [for new business].’

’I’ll be looking to match the right clients for the business and taking Construct to other sectors,’ confirms Cregan.

Tim Fendley, Georgia Fendley’s husband, is co-founder of AIG. Construct and AIG are independent of each other, but Cregan says he has ’known the couple for years, although they run two very different businesses – which makes it all the more stimulating’.
