Newman makes move South

Ian Newman has joined interior design consultancy South Studio in Wapping, London. The consultancy was set up by Ian Perry in February 1995.

Newman, formerly creative head of Tarmac subsidiary Matrix Design, has joined South Studio as design director. His first project will be a feasibility study for a new cruise ship.

Consultancy director Perry was previously with maritime consultancy McNeece and says of Newman: “His skills complement mine.” South Studio is currently tendering for a number of retail and catering projects.
