The Scheufelen Premium Papers third brochure

The Scheufelen Premium Papers third brochure, Job Parilux – Organic, was designed by Studio Anthon Beeke and Edo Visser. The brochure uses photography of micro-organisms by Lon van Keulen to reflect the density of the Job Parilux paper fibres. Nearly all of the photographs were enhanced by hand at the film stage by the designer and lithographer, whose aim was to embellish images though an unusual interpretation. This spread is called The Beetle. To reproduce the metallic aspect of the tiny beetle’s dimpled shell, the designer decided to use two metallic inks to soften the beetle’s dry, mummified appearance.
