Banks joins the board at Imagination

Imagination has appointed advertising veteran John Banks as executive chairman, under plans to develop the group’s global strategy. Banks takes over executive chairman responsibilities from chief executive Gary Withers this October.

Withers says that the group will keep its independent status, while continuing to build its ‘one company, one community, one offer worldwide’ programme. ‘John will be working closely with myself and the Imagination teams around the world to develop our global strategy,’ he says.

Banks has worked in the advertising industry for more than four decades and was a co-founder of the then ad agency Banks Hoggins O’Shea in 1991.

Imagination has also taken on Kenny Holmes as head of brand communications. Holmes moves from Landor Associates, where he was worldwide executive director of brand experience.
