Conran Holdings merges groups

Interiors and architecture group CD Partnership and product design and management company Conran Studio have merged in a bid to create a single, cohesive consultancy.

The Conran Studio name will be dropped, with the enlarged company trading as CD Partnership.

The two groups, both already part of parent company Conran Holdings, were working closely together before the merger. No change in management or staff is expected, says a spokeswoman.

Terence Conran will perform the role of chairman for the newly formed, 65-strong group.

CD Partnership directors Richard Doone and Paul Zara retain their titles in the expanded business. Conran Studio had been operating informally, without directors, says the spokeswoman.
