Design and architecture group The Pike Practice has created a second outlet for restaurateur Nigel Platts-Martin. Following work on The Square, in London’s Mayfair, the group has designed The Glasshouse in Kew, south west London, which opened last week. The 70-seat restaurant seeks a balance between minimalism and comfort with a fully glazed frontage, polished wood floors and high ceilings. Artist and curator Oliver Bevan was appointed to select and commission paintings for the restaurant.
