Toyota hits the Marketplace

ONE of the largest Toyota car showrooms in the world, in Kuwait City, has been redesigned by a UK consultancy.

Marketplace Design, from Oxfordshire, has developed new interiors and sales processes for Al-Sayer, the importer of Toyota and its upmarket Lexus brand in Kuwait. The changes are scheduled to be implemented at the 2780m2 showroom by September.

Al-Sayer hopes to add an extra 1000 sales to its current 6000 total from the site, says Marketplace director Brian Kenworthy. The consultancy worked with freelance business consultant Richard Bashford to develop new sales processes and staff training programmes, and incorporated these into the design.

When complete, the showroom will have segmented products, taking customers on a lifestyle journey through the showroom.
