Honest account by Workroom

The Workroom has designed the annual report and accounts for Reckitt Benckiser, in both print and on-line versions.

The design of the accounts is based on the theme of ‘a passion to perform’. It aims to emphasise the qualities of people, speed, communication and cost-control through the eyes of four of the brand owner’s products.

An A3 broadsheet-style review – The Business – has also been created for private shareholders to put across the performance story, along with an abbreviated set of financial accounts in a highly visual format, explains The Workroom partner Brigid McMullen.

‘The Workroom also structured the on-line annual report into an intelligent, self-contained site using people, passion and performance as primary click points,’ she adds.

The creation of the report and accounts followed a detailed research study with the Reckitt Benckiser Executive Committee and industry analysts.

The Workroom designers Jonathan Cook and Jon Scott were responsible for the print and Web aspects of the project, while Brigid McMullen was overall creative lead. Last year the design group also redesigned Reckitt Benckiser’s corporate website.

Reckitt Benckiser has operations in 60 countries and net revenues in excess of £3.5bn. Its products range from surface care, fabric care, dishwashing and health, and its leading brands include Vanish, Dettol, Finish and Woolite.
