Put quality first in Royal Albert Hall refurbishment

Regarding your VoxPop on the Royal Albert Hall (DW 1 April), £70m is a lot of money. I hope they haven’t taken away its character. The Albert Hall sits in the heart of London and is not competing with Sydney Opera House.

It needs to avoid downmarket events or talentless bands that make you wait for hours and sing for 45 minutes. It is a quality experience. It should be about quality entertainment.
