After August tiny figurines of Claudia and Karen will be up for childish grabs (let’s hope it is only children, anyway). But Naomi won’t be joining until later.

Rumour has it that Naomi does not like her doll. Its head is too big, its features too РAfrican, apparently. Well, at least her London Fashion Caf̩ got the go-ahead from the Department of the Environment this week.

The dolls are sculpted in-house by Hasbro designer Rebecca Fone, with packaging by Bristol’s BBM Carlson Design.

“They all look a bit fierce. They’re quite headstrong girls,” says a BBM spokeswoman, adding that opening the boxes was “almost a religious experience”.

The gals each had to approve a blurb on the back of the boxes. “It says something like: ‘My name is Claudia. I’m a supermodel. I earn lots of money. Aren’t I lovely?'” says the spokeswoman.
