There are three Marks at Design Clinic, but only one Chopper.

“I’ve always hated the name Mark, it’s so boring,” says The Designer Formerly Known As Mark. The name Chopper came about when he bought a chopper bike, which now lies broken on his balcony with vines growing through it.

Chopper never had time to fix his namesake, he was much too busy designing for techno musician Dave Angel. For Angel’s latest creation (pictured above), Chopper morphed a photo of Angel’s family into the logo he had previously designed. The idea came to him “through voices from an alien techno godsend”.

The colours are great. But did Chopper achieve his original aim to “avoid tacky, computer-generated” images”?
