New DBA staff to meet needs

The Design Business Association is to replace departing project manager Polly Hosp and add two further employees – creating a 50 per cent rise in its staff.

DBA chairman Jonathan Sands says the DBA board agreed last week – in a “bullish mood” – to expand the staff to enable the DBA to provide increased services to member consultancies.

“This is a huge leap in terms of resources. Our programme for 1996 just keeps growing, and if we are to deliver more we need more people,” says Sands.

The two extra administrative posts are affordable because the DBA has already surpassed its subscription target for 1996. “We already have 50 000 more than we did last year,” says Sands.
