Gallery brings in the Dutch

The Photographers’ Gallery in London has appointed Dutch consultancy Erik van Egeraat Associated Architects to redevelop the venue after an Arts Council grant of 72 000 of Lottery money.

The redevelopment may include revamping the gallery’s corporate identity and signage at some stage in the future, although this is dependent on additional Lottery money, says a Photographers’ Gallery spokeswoman. “Nothing is likely to happen for a year or so,” she adds.

The redevelopment is scheduled to complete in 2001 and will cost in the region of 4m.
