The newly created United Kingdom Sports Institute is looking for a consultancy to brand its 68m operation in Sheffield.
“We are just tying up the legal niceties at the moment, but early in the new year we will go to tender and start talking with design groups,” says a United Kingdom Sports Institute spokeswoman.
Details regarding the selection process have yet to be decided, although the client is keen to set the ball rolling as soon as possible.
“We will be requiring a full branding service,” adds the spokeswoman.
Sheffield beat bids from Nottingham and Upper Heyford, Oxon, to host the operation.
The United Kingdom Sports Institute will use existing buildings, although the creation of new ones has not been ruled out. The operation will go live next autumn and should be fully operational by the end of 2000, says the spokeswoman.
