Designer of the Year shortlist

The Design Museum has named four candidates for its £25 000 Designer of the Year award. Multimedia designer Daniel Brown is nominated for his Play-create and Show Studio websites; product designer Sam Buxton for his miniature Mikro characters; lighting designer Paul Cocksedge for his innovative, sculptural creations; and football boot designer Craig Johnston, the former Liverpool FC player, who designed the Predator football boot and its successor, The Pig, for Adidas.

The winner will be announced at the end of May and the public can vote for a preferred nominee at www.designmuseum.org. An exhibition of the designers’ work opens on 6 March at the Design Museum.
