Racing ahead with future expansion

Lumsden Design Partnership, the consultancy formed in November by Callum Lumsden after his departure from Newell and Sorrell, has unveiled its first interiors project for catalogue retailer Racing Green.

Racing Green has opened an outlet in Glasgow. It now has three sites, but the retailer is currently looking at another London site and has plans to open a “lot more throughout the UK”, according to Lumsden.

Elements of the Glasgow interior, which has been designed to “translate the company’s catalogue brand values into three dimensions”, will be rolled out in new sites and implemented in the company’s Manchester site.

The group has also designed interiors for the retailer’s Bicester warehouse and offices. Lumsden adds that the consultancy, which has three designers, will be “working in partnership with other groups on interiors, furniture and product design”.
