Tim coughs his way to a Czech

Phwwoooaarrrr, get a load of those thigh muscles. They belong to Wheezy Rider, otherwise known as Tim Doherty, industrial designer at Coventry consultancy Smallfry.

Wheezy is a transport design specialist unfortunate enough to suffer from asthma. He’s decided to combine these two afflictions and raise money for the National Asthma Campaign by cycling from Warwickshire to Prague.

“It’s rather a long way,” admits Doherty, who has also designed accessories for Harley Davidson. It’s 900 miles, in fact, and it will take two weeks to cycle. “I do a lot of cycling around the Peak District when I’m not designing,” he adds. He leaves on 24 June – if you would like to sponsor him call 01203 545678 .
