Ashley Carter therapeutical

A deliberately mainstream approach has been applied to Aromapod, a new aromatherapy product named and packaged by London group Ashley Carter Design Consultants.

The design group was approached by product developer Kiotech to help develop the look and feel of the range – a selection of portable aromatherapy oils in handy cassette-type dispensers.

The product uses quality oils to avoid making the product any less effective than the traditional types favoured by existing essential oil users. But, it gives them simple names based on their effects to lure new converts. Wake Up, for example, is a mix of lemon, pine, rosemary and basil; In Control contains sandlewood.

Ashley Carter aims to focus attention on the new method of application involved with Aromapod via its name and appearance, avoiding the already crowded market for bottled oils. Many existing rivals are packaged to emphasise their natural or herbal constituents. The strapline ‘Aromatherapy – anywhere’ has been adopted by Aromapod to highlight its portability.

The product will be on sale within a month.
