Even TV foodie Lloyd Grossman would be hard-pressed to digest and deliberate the calorific value of the foodstuffs on display in the latest series of Masterchef. Talbot Designs has created giant replicas, measuring up to 4m tall, of kitchen favourites such as jars of spaghetti and pepper pots to grace the show’s set.

Reproducing Grossman to the same giant scale was, thankfully, beyond the BBC budget. Masterchef is on BBC1, Sunday at 5.10pm.
