Cinema owner Everyman Media Group has charged 20/20 with branding and creating interiors for its eight film-houses. 20/20 beat six design groups and architects, including Fitch and Dalziel & Pow, in a creative pitch last month.

Earlier this year, Everyman acquired Screen Cinemas, a chain of seven independent cinemas, for £7m. It has owned Hampstead Village cinema since 2000. The cinemas will feature reception lounges, screening rooms for private parties, a brasserie and bar, al fresco dining, members’ areas and waiter service.

One of the board members of Everyman, chairman of Travelex Lloyd Dorfman, is a long-term client of 20/20.

Everyman aims to open 50 cinemas in the UK in the next ten years. All would feature the new design and branding, claims Everyman founder and chief executive Daniel Broch.
