BE Group design team goes Redd

Former employees of consultancy Eigg, which folded last month, have set up a standalone retail and leisure interiors facility at architecture and interiors consultancy Business Environment Group.

The division, called Redd, will be led by former co-founder and Eigg director Daniel Lister and staffed by two former Eigg designers.

It will share BE Group’s Warrington offices and its resources, including technical support.

As well as offering interior design services, Redd will offer branding and graphic design.

BE Group’s interiors facility is aimed at a public and private sector clients, specialising in office and industrial commissions. It is working with Development Securities and South Staffordshire Council. The team comprises 15 people of BE Group’s workforce of 50.

‘The BE Group design team is very business-oriented whereas we will be targeting a different client base.

‘But over the coming months there will be some integration of the two teams,’ says Lister.

Eigg went into voluntary liquidation in October with the loss of five jobs following the non-payment of bills by two clients (DW 11 October). It had worked with Liverpool Football Club, Granada Media and the Royal Festival Hall.
