Second generation radio is not by TKO

I’d like to correct any misinterpretation of your Diary piece (DW 2 October), on the latest version of the BayGen wind-up radio.

While proud of our involvement with the original Freeplay radio (designed specifically for developing countries and aid-agencies to be as cheap and tough as possible), we cannot take any credit for the second generation product, as we had no involvement in its design.
