McVitie’s to announce design roster

Jones Knowles Ritchie and Dragon are two of the consultancies believed to be on McVitie’s first formal design and publicity roster, to be unveiled shortly.

The roster is believed to list around five consultancies.

A McVitie’s spokesman says the precise list of roster consultancies is yet to be confirmed. JKR and Dragon are also unable to confirm their presence on the roster.

JKR recently evolved McVitie’s brand identity as the first part of a coordinated marketing push planned for later this year (DW 13 February).

The design group is believed to be overseeing the roster, drawn up in part to implement the client’s refreshed brand identity.

Dragon has also worked extensively with McVitie’s in the past. “We have been working with McVitie’s for about the last 12 months, but that’s more of a product development project,” says Dragon creative director Greg Vallance.

“But it is not outside the realms of possibility that we might be included on the roster,” Vallance adds.
