Caulder Moore fashions HQ for New Look

Fashion retailer New Look has appointed Caulder Moore to design the client-facing areas of its new head office in central London.

The retail design specialist won a three-way pitch to work alongside property consultant CB Richard Ellis, which is creating the non-customer-facing areas of the new headquarters.

New Look briefed Caulder Moore to create the reception, press showroom, range rooms and staff ‘lifestyle area’ on the ground and lower-ground floors.

‘We are aiming to integrate the brand’s core values – confidence, impatience and fun – in an emotionally engaging, dynamic brand experience,’ says Caulder Moore creative director Ian Caulder.

The consultancy will lead the project, providing CB Richard Ellis with guidelines to inform its work on the building’s upper three floors of offices. New Look is relocating the buying, merchandising and design teams – about 250 people in total – from its former head office in Weymouth, Dorset, to London. It hopes that the move will allow it to attract better design and buying talent.

Caulder Moore has worked with New Look before, in 2008, designing the interiors for the retailer’s Liverpool One store.

The 5600m2 space, which is arranged over five floors at Wells & More, on Mortimer Street, W1, will open in July.
