Green Web groups seek merger cash

Sustainable design website Three Trees Don’t Make a Forest is merging with online resource Lovely as a Tree, which was set up in 2007 to help graphic designers to source environmentally friendly paper and print suppliers.

The two groups are seeking to raise £69 000 to rebuild a joint website offering both organisations’ services and enhanced search facilities.

‘We are looking for funding from design groups, fostering a sense that the design industry owns the website,’ says Lovely as a Tree founder and designer Caroline Clark. ‘We have been inspired by Barack Obama’s fundraising campaign.’

The two organisations will merge and create the joint website in the autumn, when they aim to have raised the funds. The Lovely as a Tree name will then disappear.
