Merger reaps Syngenta brand

Interbrand ZintZmeyer & Lux in Switzerland has been appointed to brand Syngenta, the world’s biggest agribusiness.

Syngenta has been formed by the merger of the agricultural divisions of Swiss group Novartis and UK chemical giant Astra Zenica.

Novartis head of communications Rainer von Mielecki says it will be several months before the new identity is released.

“Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux has created the name, but the new logo will not be launched before the second half of next year,” he explains.
