CDP wins Selfridges job

Sir Terence Conran’s consultancy CD Partnership is designing a restaurant in London store Selfridges. The 120-seat Premier Restaurant is due to open in May.

CDP has also designed a scheme to enclose the terraces at the Design Museum in glass. A CDP spokesman says the ú250 000 scheme, which has just won planning permission, will enable the first-floor balcony to be used throughout the year. A spiral staircase will link the first floor to the second-floor balcony.

* CDP director Deirdre Morrow left the consultancy last week. It is believed Morrow, who was at CDP from its birth in 1993, was headhunted. The CDP spokesman says possible replacements for Morrow are being considered.
