Icograda disk honours work by Henrion

The work of graphics giant FHK Henrion is immortalised on a CD-ROM launched this month by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda).

There will be a preview of the disk at the annual Henrion evening at Wolff Olins’ London offices on Sunday. It is the first in a planned series of disks archiving the work of great designers.

The computerised design archives were the brainchild of Willy de Majo, who died in 1993. His work has been carried on by a committee, led by The Jenkins Group chairman Nick Jenkins.

Jenkins says the completed Henrion disk will be ready by the end of this month, when it will be distributed to universities and colleges which have taken part in the project. A version for commercial sale is in the pipeline.
