Freelance illustrator David Gifford was commissioned to create visuals for the new brochure for venture capital group, Guinness Mahon Development Capital. The brief was to depict the types of companies in which the group invests, namely those which own intellectual property rights. The man’s head is intended to represent human creativity and thought. Surrey consultancy Carruthers Elliott Fine, which works regularly for GMDC, designed and produced the brochure. Director Cameron Carruthers says: `The brochure had to reflect the excitement of the group’s field and the design is very unusual for a company which is part of a merchant bank.’
