BFK and Sonas link to offer joint package

Two Dublin consultancies are forming an alliance to offer clients a package of their respective interior and graphic design disciplines.

Interiors firm Sonas Design and graphics outfit BFK Design Group are jointly to target the leisure and retail industries both in Ireland and abroad.

To cement the relationship BFK directors Howard Kent and Paul Hogan have joined the board of Sonas Design, alongside Sonas founders Brian Moore, Barbara Cruise and Pat McDonnell. BFK has secured a non-controlling share of Sonas.

Sonas Design was formed in 1995 and has a strong track record in designing Irish theme pubs and bars in the UK and the rest of Europe. Its projects include Molly Darcys in Vienna, the 1000th Guinness Irish Pub in Europe.

BFK is one of Ireland’s largest design consultancies, employing 20 staff, and boasts clients such as Irish Life International and Waterford Foods.

The two consultancies have previously collaborated on projects, with BFK designing identities and point-of-sale material for pubs and bars designed by Sonas.
