Interior design consultancy McNeece is to launch a graphics division next week.

It is believed Maria Grasso is leaving Loewy International to be involved in the new graphics unit, although neither party will confirm this.

McNeece design director Mark Hilferty says that although McNeece is “noted” for its shipping, hotels and corporate interiors work and has offered environmental graphics in the past, the consultancy is keen to move towards being a truly multidisciplinary group.

To that end, the new division – as yet unnamed – will offer corporate literature, branding and packaging. It will be a separate entity and have its own client base. “It’s a positive commitment to the future,” says Hilferty.

The new division will absorb existing McNeece graphics staff but also recruit creatives as it expands, he adds.
