French ambience for Connolly

French interior designer Andr&#233e Putman has designed the new central London shop for luxury goods retailer Connolly.

French interior designer Andrée Putman has designed the new central London shop for luxury goods retailer Connolly. The store opens in Conduit Street on Friday 10th March.

Putman was appointed following the success of the first Connolly shop in Belgravia seven years ago. Many of the elements used in the original store have been reflected in the new two-floor outlet, which retains a natural feel.

A Connolly spokeswoman says: “Putman has combined her trademark industrial materials – titan grey metals, tinted oak, galvanised steel – with the softest leathers in muted colours and pale onyx.”

“The design is understated, similar to that of a museum or library, with a neutrality that allows the product to speak for itself,” adds Putman.

The store will house several product ranges, including the Seymour Powell designed Aeromotive Collection.
