Turkish bank enlists Allen International

Allen International has been appointed to develop a retail design strategy for Turkish bank Disbank as part of the group’s competitive distribution strategy for the 21st century.

Disbank, one of the country’s fastest growing banks, currently has 89 branches across Turkey, but is looking to increase this figure to more than 150 within the next two years. Within the project, Allen International will develop three modular branch systems to match Disbank’s three main trading areas – retail, satellite and commercial.

The London design group, which has worked with more than 70 banks globally, will also be looking at improving customer service and branch environments. This brief will address: information accessibility, technology and merchandising, as well as queuing systems, space management, furniture, circulation and ambience. A pilot branch is due to open in August.

Allen International managing director Michael Allen says: “We’re very excited about working with Disbank, which has entrusted us with designing its bank of the future. This project will demand some radical thinking on our behalf as we look to revolutionise the way Disbank does business.”

Allen International has previously worked with financial services companies in Belgium, Turkey, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Ireland and Austria.
