The design industry would do well to tread carefully

It is interesting to note that, since both the Treasury and the Mayor of London identified the creative services as a sector worthy of public investment, some strange things have been happening within the hallowed halls of the design elite.


In the private sector, investment and a sudden increase in shareholding is often the precursor of takeover.


The creative entrepreneurs that built design into an ‘industry’ in this country should be wary of the value of their endowment.
