London group identifies new medical centre

London consultancy The Design and Production Group is designing a new identity for a pioneering medical centre at the hub of international efforts to combat HIV and AIDS.

The consultancy approached the Medical Research Council’s HIV Clinical Trials Centre, part of University College London Medical School, to suggest it design a new identity for the CTC.

The Design and Production Group director Stephen Christini says the new identity, being designed now, will reflect the CTC’s standing at the “forefront of the battle against HIV and AIDS- related diseases”. The consultancy is donating its design work.

CTC head Dr Janet Darbyshire says the logo “has to capture the centre’s co-ordinating role in international trials” of new drugs.
