BDI to boost designers’ remuneration

British Design Innovation is launching a guide to help strategic designers improve their remuneration when working on collaborative projects with clients.

According to BDI chief executive Maxine Horn, design consultancies need to put in place a business structure and agree remuneration standards ‘before they can take an equal place at the negotiation table’. A pilot model with design consultancies will be announced in the next few months.
