Business Links should help realise potential

Why is it that everyone seems to believe Business Links are useless other than Business Links themselves? As a lone inventor I feel qualified to state that they have no policy or capacity to assist with inventors. I wasted a year being passed around by them.

Bob Marshall’s letter (DW 3 October) outlines Devon & Cornwall Business Links’ way of helping. It may make them feel like they’re doing something, but it sounds to me like they’re wasting everyone’s time.

An inventor is not a “micro-business”, but should be seen as a potential small business. There needs to be a band of professionals that can support and handle many “micro-businesses” with enterprise capital to back them. These “micro-businesses” should stay within the team until they are deemed viable.
