Women in Marketing & Design has invited three experts on the art and science of perfumery to reveal the history of perfume and the premium price it commands. The Scent Event takes place at the Soho Soho restaurant on Frith Street, London W1 on 16 October.

The Society of Typographic Designers hosts a lecture by Jan van Toorn, graphic and exhibition designer: Beyond design?, fragments of a reflexive practice. It is the third lecture in this year’s series featuring Dutch design, it takes place on 16 October at 6.30pm at the RIBA Architecture Centre, London W1.
