Paxman challenges ethereal John Sorrell

As chairman, John Sorrell was the obvious representative for the Design Council on last week’s Newsnight, where he shared a platform with, among others, Glenys Kinnock to dissect the Prime Minister’s speech to his party conference.

But perhaps he should have known better than to attempt to talk about somewhat ethereal design issues to arch inquisitor Jeremy Paxman. Sorrell’s eloquent observation of Tony Blair’s address was met by Paxman with another question: “What do you mean?”
