Springpoint set to boost staff levels

Springpoint is undergoing a period of heavy recruitment, as it replaces long-term staff leaving the consultancy and recruits extra personnel to cover a growing workload.

Planning director Michael Harvey has left, having been poached by drinks giant Guinness to become its first international planning director. “We are very flattered,” says Springpoint managing director Fiona Gilmore.

Fenella McCarthy, formerly senior planning consultant at CLK International Brand Development, has replaced Harvey.

Production director Aubrey Hastings-Smith, a fixture at Springpoint since its launch more than six years ago, has also left to become a board director at Packaging Innovation International. Gilmore describes the split as amicable. “He fancied a change,” she says. He has been replaced by Helen Idle, formerly of Tutssels and Cato Consulting Group.

Account director Stephane Le Camus, who joined as a graduate trainee, has also left. A senior account manager, Nick Grey, has been appointed and an account director is expected to be among a set of appointments to be announced shortly, says Gilmore.
